can you suggest some artists please?
i need composition and still life artists to research, like paul Cezanne, Wayne Thiebaud and Janet Fish. I would prefer someone who uses impressionist techniques and/ or bright colours. Any ideas?

If you like interesting use of color in still life, look into the Fauves -- artists like Matisse and Derain. Of course, you also have artists like Van Gogh (who I'm sure you're familiar with.) William Harnett is one of my favorites, but his style is certainly not impressionistic. Oh, and, also, Jim Dine, if you are looking for something more contemporary. Look for his studies of tools.
Also, what is a "composition" artist? I mean, doesn't art use composition by definition? :p
